Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 20 June 2025. Police Colonel David Martinez Vinluan, Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, was honored to attend the Handover Ceremony and Retirement Parade of Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, held at the Police Training Center (PULAPOL) in Kuala Lumpur.
During the ceremony, Tan Sri Razarudin officially handed over the leadership of the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) to his successor, IG Dato' Sri Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail, witnessed by Minister of the Interior, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Police Colonel Vinluan was the only foreign guest officially invited, underscoring the close ties between ASEANAPOL and RMP. He extended congratulations to the new IGP and expressed gratitude to Tan Sri Razarudin for his strong support of regional policing efforts.
RMP is the gracious host of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, which has been based in Kuala Lumpur since its establishment in 2010. The Secretariat continues to benefit from Malaysia’s hospitality and leadership in fostering regional police cooperation.
The ASEANAPOL Secretariat looks forward to working closely with IG Dato’ Sri Khalid to further strengthen collaboration in combating transnational crime.
