On 6 June 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, on the sidelines of the ASEANAPOL Pre-Conference Meeting held from 4 to 6 June 2025, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, together with a delegation from the Philippine National Police (PNP), paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Millicent Cruz Paredes, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Thailand.
The visit was led by Police Colonel David Martinez Vinluan, 8th Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, and joined by Police Brigadier General Christopher Dela Cruz, head of the PNP delegation. They were accompanied by Police Colonel Harold Depositar, Ms. Ruth Sison, and Police Executive Master Sergeant Mary Grace Sevilla, Administrative Assistant to the PNP Attaché to Thailand.
The courtesy call served as an opportunity to express sincere appreciation for the unwavering support extended by the Philippine Embassy to ASEANAPOL’s regional initiatives. The delegation also briefed the Ambassador on the ongoing preparations for the 43rd ASEANAPOL Conference and reaffirmed the Philippines’ active leadership role in the organization through the participation of the PNP.
The meeting further strengthened diplomatic and institutional ties between the ASEANAPOL Secretariat and the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok. Ambassador Paredes graciously received the delegation and conveyed her support for ASEANAPOL’s mission to promote peace, security, and regional cooperation through strengthened police-to-police collaboration among ASEAN Member Countries.
The engagement underscored ASEANAPOL’s continued efforts to maintain close coordination with diplomatic missions in the region and demonstrated the value of such courtesy calls in reinforcing mutual understanding and support among key stakeholders in the fight against transnational crime.
