Meeting With Researchers from The National Defence University Malaysia

On 22nd July 2014, the Secretariat had the honour of having a meeting with Associate Prof. Dr. Abdul Razak Ahmad and his research assistant who is currently working on an academic article on the roles of ASEANAPOL in combating terrorism in the region.
Amongst the issues discussed included:
Institutionalizing ASEANAPOL vis - a - vis ASEAN.
Initiatives taken by ASEANAPOL to counter the threat of terrorism.
Vialbility of ASEANAPOL as a mechanism to foster cooperation among ASEAN member countries in combating terrorism
ASEANAPOL'S future Director and international cooperation with other policing agencies
The delegation from the University was received by the Executive Director, ASEANAPOL Secretariat, SAC Pengiran Dato Paduka Hj. Abdul Wahab bin Pengiran Hj. Omar whist the briefing was provided by the Director for Police Services, ACP Mohamad Anil bin Shah assisted by the Director for Plans and Programme, Supt. Reinhard Hutagaol.
