On 10 – 28 October 2016, ASEANAPOL Secretariat represented by Ms. Yuli Cahyanti, the Director for Plans and Programmes participated at Regional Executive Leadership Program held in Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC) in Semarang, Indonesia. The partnership between ASEANAPOL Secretariat and JCLEC had been initiated since 2014 wherein JCLEC invited the Secretariat to attend the RELP as Speaker. JCLEC was of the view that active participation from ASEANAPOL Secretariat will be benefiting for all the participants of the RELP 2016 as they were from 14 different countries. DPP enlightened the program on the overview of regional cooperation among ASEAN police force and the important of regional and international partnership in combating transnational crimes, particularly on Foreign Terrorist Fighters. As the program was attended by senior police officers, they promoted and supported the efforts conducted by the Secretariat in securing the ASEAN region. The participants also showed their interest to visit the Secretariat as well as to collaborate with ASEANAPOL as the only regional police to police cooperation in ASEAN.
