On February 3, 2024, ASEANAPOL Secretariat facilitated the request from Royal Malaysia Police to the Philippine National Police to assists three Indian Nationals, medical students in one of the prestigious medical schools in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines, who were allegedly bullied by identified suspects. ASEANAPOL Secretariat coordinated directly with Police Colonel Sandro Jay Tafalla the Chief of Police of Las Piñas Police Station who immediately sent police operatives to investigate the incident. The victims sustained various physical Injuries. The police officers assured the victims their assistance for the filing of appropriate complaints against the suspects. The immediate action of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat is consistent to its mission, vision and implementation of the agreements signed by the Chiefs of the ASEAN National Police in the annual Joint Communiques.
