On the sidelines of the 92nd INTERPOL General Assembly in Glasgow, Scotland, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, led by Executive Director Police Colonel David Martinez Vinluan and Police Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Ngoc, Director for Plans and Programmes, engaged in a fruitful bilateral meeting with the UAE Delegation. The UAE was represented by Ms. Dana Mumaid AlMarzooqi, Director General of the International Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Interior, and Major Hammad Y. Khatir Al Hammadi, UAE’s Regional Police Attaché for Asia and the Pacific.
The Ministry of Interior UAE, which has held Observer status with ASEANAPOL since 2022, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening regional security and fostering international cooperation. Key discussions focused on shared priorities such as combating cybercrime, enhancing intelligence-sharing mechanisms, and exploring opportunities for joint training initiatives.
With both ASEANAPOL and the UAE dedicated to addressing transnational security challenges, this meeting marked a significant step towards deepening collaboration and bolstering global security efforts.
