On 20 January 2025, the Inaugural Asia International Security Summit & Expo 2025 (AISSE '25) and Cybercrime Prevention Summit commenced at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), Malaysia. Hosted by the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs and the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), this prestigious event will run from 20 to 22 January 2025, serving as a key platform for discussions on regional security challenges and technological advancements in law enforcement.
Representing the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, Police Colonel David Martinez Vinluan, Executive Director, participated as a panelist in Fire Chat Session 12, titled: "The Future of Cybercrime Prevention: Innovation and Collaboration." The session explored the future directions of cybercrime prevention, emphasizing how innovation, emerging technologies, and international collaboration are shaping new and effective strategies to combat the evolving landscape of cybercrime.
The session was moderated by Superintendent Madhavan Nair of the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), with distinguished panelists including: Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Lai Lee Ching (RMP); Ms. Edora Binti Ahmad, National Cyber Security Agency of Malaysia (NACSA); and Mr. Tho Kit Hoong, CEO, CSP Global Technologies
The AISSE '25 is anticipated to be a landmark event, bringing together leading security companies, key organizations, and VIP delegations from fifteen nations. It will also host trade visitors, including government officials, C-suite executives, top decision-makers from security agencies, academics, and esteemed experts in the security sector.
