On February 7, 2025, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat had the privilege of welcoming representatives from FORENSCOPE—Mr. Nadim Radzali, Mr. Amidon Anan, and Mr. Nambia—to its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. They were warmly received by Executive Director David Martinez Vinluan, alongside senior officials from the Secretariat, including Pol. Senior Superintendent Huntal Tambunan, Director for Police Services, DSP Abdul Hamid Abdul Hashim, Police Services Officer I, and DSP Suresh Subramaniam, Plans and Programmes Officer I.

The meeting served as a platform to introduce FORENSCOPE, a pioneering research and development company specializing in cutting-edge hardware and software technologies for forensic imaging. Initially focused on early diagnostic systems, FORENSCOPE later channeled its expertise into forensic science and forensic medicine, ultimately leading to groundbreaking innovations. Notably, in 2013, the company revolutionized forensic imaging by developing the FORENSCOPE Multispectral Tablet, the world’s first mobile multispectral imaging technology.

This engagement marked a significant step forward in exploring technological advancements that could enhance forensic investigations across ASEANAPOL member countries. Executive Director Vinluan commended the FORENSCOPE team for their insightful briefing and acknowledged their expertise in mobile Superspectral & Multispectral imaging systems. He further expressed keen interest in potential collaborations to integrate these advanced technologies into policing efforts, particularly in crime scene investigations and forensic analysis.

FORENSCOPE’s cutting-edge systems offer unparalleled capabilities, including the detection of latent fingerprints, body fluids (semen, saliva, urine, etc.), blood traces, gunshot residue (GSR) particles, hair and fibers, teeth, bones, document and art examination, epithelial tissues, and forensic body examinations. These innovations hold immense potential in strengthening forensic documentation, improving the accuracy of evidence collection, and ensuring that no crucial detail is overlooked.

By embracing the latest advancements in Forensic Photography and Forensic Examination, ASEANAPOL reaffirms its commitment to enhancing law enforcement capabilities, ensuring justice, and promoting security across the region. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing enthusiasm for future collaborations aimed at advancing forensic science and law enforcement technologies within the ASEAN region.
