On 18 September 2026, 1500 hr the ASEANAPOL Secretariat held discussions with Mr. Ravish Shah of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) to advance ASEAN–India cooperation in police capacity development and law enforcement training.
RRU, an Institution of National Importance under India’s Ministry of Home Affairs, will serve as an important partner in developing structured training programmes for police officers from the 11 ASEANAPOL Member Countries.
Both sides agreed to work towards jointly developing curricula covering ASEANAPOL’s eight core crime areas, with training at basic, intermediate and advanced levels, as well as Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes. India is expected to support the delivery of these programmes for ASEANAPOL Member Countries.
