ASEANAPOL Secretariat Explores Institutional Development Opportunities

The ASEANAPOL Secretariat continues its efforts to strengthen organizational effectiveness and support future regional law enforcement cooperation through institutional development initiatives.

On 19 June 2026, the Secretariat held a strategic discussion with representatives from the Legal Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), Malaysia. The meeting was chaired by Police Senior Colonel Dr. Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, Executive Director of ASEANAPOL Secretariat.

The discussion focused on understanding legal and administrative considerations related to the Secretariat’s institutional framework, governance arrangements, and future organizational development. The exchange provided valuable insights into potential pathways for strengthening the Secretariat’s capacity to support ASEANAPOL Member Countries in addressing transnational crime and emerging security challenges.

The initiative reflects ASEANAPOL’s commitment to good governance, continuous improvement, and building a stronger foundation for regional police cooperation.
