ASEANAPOL Secretariat and JCLEC Finalize Preparations for ASCOT Investigation Workshop

Kuala Lumpur, 26 June 2026 – The ASEANAPOL Secretariat, in collaboration with the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC), convened a virtual preparation meeting on 26 June 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Kuala Lumpur Time) with Subject Matter Experts from ASEANAPOL Member Countries to finalize preparations for the upcoming ASEANAPOL Scam Combat Task Force (ASCOT) Investigation Workshop.

The meeting focused on confirming the workshop programme, logistical arrangements, training methodology, and practical learning activities, including scenario-based exercises and the use of the electronic ASEANAPOL Database System (e-ADS) to support hands-on learning throughout the workshop.

The successful coordination meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat and JCLEC to delivering a well-organized regional capacity-building programme, further strengthening cooperation and operational readiness among ASEANAPOL Member Countries in combating transnational scam and cyber-enabled crimes.
