The online Zoom meeting held on 13 May 2026 was chaired by Police Senior Colonel Dr. Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, with the participation of representatives from ASEANAPOL Member Countries and partner organizations to strengthen regional law enforcement cooperation.
The meeting discussed the progress of the ASEANAPOL Scam Combat Task Force (ASCOT) programme, including preparations for the curriculum development session at JCLEC in June 2026.

Member Countries expressed strong support for expanding participation in ASCOT to enhance regional capabilities in combating transnational scam and cyber-enabled crimes.

Participants also deliberated on the proposed joint anti-scam operation and the development of a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure effective regional implementation. In addition, the meeting highlighted ongoing cooperation initiatives supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including the International Initiative on Law Enforcement for Climate Change (I2LEC).

The meeting reaffirmed ASEANAPOL’s commitment to strengthening regional collaboration and addressing emerging transnational crime threats across the ASEAN region.
