Strengthening Global Partnerships: ASEANAPOL Secretariat’s Engagement at ISNR 2026, UAE

Police Senior Colonel Dr. Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, undertook an official mission to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the kind invitation of the UAE Ministry of Interior.

A key highlight of the mission was his keynote address at ISNR 2026, under the theme “Future of Security and Public Trust.” His presentation, titled “Guardians of a Fractured World: Rebuilding Power, Protection, and Public Trust,” addressed emerging security challenges, the importance of public trust, and the need for stronger international law enforcement cooperation.

During the visit, the Executive Director also had the honour of meeting with H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the UAE, to further strengthen cooperation between ASEANAPOL and the UAE in areas of shared security interest.

In addition, he paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE and attended a luncheon hosted by the Embassy, reflecting the importance of close coordination between diplomatic and law enforcement channels.

The Executive Director also visited the ISNR exhibition to explore advanced security technologies, operational solutions, and tactical equipment that may support ASEANAPOL’s future capacity-building and regional cooperation efforts.

This mission marks another important step in expanding ASEANAPOL’s global network of cooperation and reaffirming its commitment to working with partners to promote regional safety, security, and public trust.
