ASEANAPOL Advances Regional Networks and Digital Cooperation

On 26 October 2026, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat convened a virtual consultation with member-country representatives to discuss the proposed expansion of ASEANAPOL Networks and demonstrate the Electronic ASEANAPOL Database System (EADS).

Chaired by Executive Director Dr. Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, the meeting examined a proposed structure of 121 designated contact points across 11 member countries, covering eight core crime areas, national coordination, forensic cooperation and police training.

Discussions focused on improving cross-border communication and information sharing while respecting national approval procedures. Participants also reviewed the system’s case information and official request functions.

The Secretariat will continue consultations, system testing and user familiarisation to support phased implementation.
