Pre Coordination Meeting for the 41st ASEANAPOL Conference

The Lao Police Force marked the commencement of preparations for the highly anticipated 41st ASEANAPOL Conference with a pivotal two-day pre-coordination meeting on August 30th, 2023. The conference, scheduled to take place in Vientiane, Laos, from October 17th to 19th, 2023, was the focal point of this meticulously organized gathering. Its primary aim was to create a collaborative and harmonious foundation for the successful execution of the event.

The meeting began with a warm welcome from Pol. Brig. Gen. Kenechanh PHOMMACHAK, Deputy Chief of Lao Police Force, who expressed gratitude for hosting the event and emphasized the honor of hosting the annual Chief of ASEANAPOL Police Conference. Pol. Brig. Gen. Zaw Lin Tun, Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, served as the Co-Chairman, symbolizing the cooperative spirit of the occasion.

Key discussions during the meeting included an overview of the organization of the previous 40th ASEANAPOL Conference in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, presented by Pol. Brig. Gen. You Boren. The agenda for the 41st ASEANAPOL Conference was also deliberated, covering various topics, including commission discussions and working group meetings, with chairpersons appointed from the host country.

Pol. Brig. Gen. Zaw Lin Tun provided insights into crucial elements for the successful organization of the conference, such as invitation distribution, meeting protocol, and the involvement of rapporteurs and assistant rapporteurs.

Following the meeting, a site visit to the National Convention Center in Vientiane, the conference venue, took place. The site inspection group reviewed venue settings for different conference sessions and provided instructions on session procedures.
