ASEANAPOL Strengthens Police Education Cooperation with UAE

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Dr. Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, accompanied by a Royal Thai Police delegation, visited Brigadier General Walid Salem Al Shamsi, Commander of the Abu Dhabi Police College, to strengthen cooperation in police education, training, and international exchange.

This year, seven police officers from ASEANAPOL Member Countries are participating in the international police exchange programme supported by the IACP and UAE Ministry of Interior. The delegation met with ASEAN and international participants and observed how they study and train alongside UAE police cadets.

Participants highlighted the value of exchanging policing experience, building friendships, and developing professional networks across countries.

ASEANAPOL and the Abu Dhabi Police College also discussed expanding participation from ASEANAPOL Member Countries in future programmes.

The visit reflects ASEANAPOL’s commitment to investing in people and building stronger international police networks through education, training, and professional exchange.
