ASEANAPOL Secretariat Holds Consultation Meeting on Study Visit Analytical Report

The ASEANAPOL Secretariat held a virtual consultation meeting chaired by its Executive Director, Police Senior Colonel Dr. Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, and attended by the Director for Police Services, Police Senior Superintendent Huntal Tambunan, together with Secretariat officers, to review the preliminary findings of the Study Visits on Anti-Scam Centre Practices in ASEAN conducted in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

Professor Dr. Cheah Phaik Kin presented a comparative analysis highlighting anti-scam operational practices, cross-border information sharing and regional cooperation. The meeting identified areas for further assessment and refinement of recommendations to strengthen regional anti-scam efforts, with the next consultation scheduled for mid-November 2026.

The initiative reinforces ASEANAPOL's commitment to combating transnational scams and enhancing regional security.
