44th ASEANAPOL Conference | Commission A Discussion

The ASEANAPOL Secretariat participated in the Commission A Discussion held during the 44th ASEANAPOL Conference in Manila, Philippines, from 22–26 July 2026. The meeting brought together delegates from ASEANAPOL Member Countries to deliberate on regional strategies for combating transnational crime and to review the implementation of resolutions adopted at the previous ASEANAPOL Conference.
Following constructive discussions conducted in the spirit of ASEAN friendship, cooperation and solidarity, the Commission adopted a series of resolutions focusing on four priority crime areas:
- Illicit Drug Trafficking
- Terrorism
- Arms Smuggling
- Trafficking in Persons
The adopted resolutions reaffirm the commitment of ASEANAPOL Member Countries to strengthen intelligence sharing, enhance operational cooperation, build institutional capacity, promote joint investigations, and deepen collaboration with regional and international partners. The Commission also recognised the important role of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat in coordinating regional initiatives, facilitating information exchange, supporting capacity-building programmes, and advancing collective efforts to address evolving transnational crime threats.
The ASEANAPOL Secretariat remains committed to fostering closer police cooperation and strengthening regional security through effective coordination, strategic partnerships, and the implementation of the resolutions adopted by ASEANAPOL Member Countries.
